 Yakima Tieton Irrigation is looking to fill the very important role of Maintenance Crew Member.

 The Maintenance Crew Member performs duties in any or all maintenance programs such as: Main Canal maintenance, cathodic protection system monitoring, back up equipment operator and timer turnout maintenance and operation.

 The Maintenance Crew Member is responsible for knowing AC pipe cutting policy and procedure; the proper use of all hand and power tools; the different types of pipe and fittings and how they are applied and a working knowledge of different turnout types.

 The Maintenance Crew Member will also be responsible for learning all aspects of Facilities maintenance and Main Canal maintenance and hazards.

 This position is within the Laborers’ Local #348 bargaining unit. This position will work in all labor classes as needed.

 Applicants must have a High School Diploma or General Equivalency (GED) and two years of experience in repair and maintenance of irrigation, plumbing or electrical equipment or an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides knowledge, skills and abilities sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.

 Applicants must possess a valid Washington State Driver’s License; be a U.S. citizen or legally able to work in the U.S; pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test, and pre-employment background check with Driver’s check.
